Co-founded by three passionate environmental advocates, 30x30 Malaysia is an initiative to push for Malaysia to sign on to the 30x30 global target to protect 30% of the planet's lands and oceans by 2030. Through our social media and in-person events, we spread awareness about the need for Malaysia to protect its lands and oceans in order to save its declining biodiversity. The most recent event we held was a beach clean-up at Pantai Cherok Paloh. Learn more about it here.
In the near future, by harnessing the knowledge of Malaysia's indigenous communities who spend most of their time in waters and on land, 30x30 Malaysia strives to tackle Malaysia's lack of natural resource management, thus inching closer to the 30x30 global target.
